Although starting airline salaries are better than they were in the past, they are still not enough for some of us trying to pay off the debt of our flight training.  Even when we are comfortable with our income, there are still additional expenses that unnecessarily cut into our profits.  This is even more of a concern for the new first officers, pilots on reserve, and those that commute.
